About the Japan Ship Centre
The JAPAN SHIP CENTRE (JETRO) dates back as far as 1965 when it was established as a London-based division of the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO)*.
The faces at our organisation may have changed along the way but more than forty years on the organisation remains committed to its aim of deepening mutual understanding in the spirit of international co-operation between the European and Japanese maritime communities. Our organisational activities ensure that JSC is a constant hub of information for the European Maritime community on the Japanese shipbuilding and ship machinery industries.
JSC also works closely with sister overseas offices in New York, Singapore, Shanghai and Dalian.
* JETRO is a non-profit making, semi-governmental organisation dedicated to the promotion of international free trade between Japan and other nations.
